Atlantic Aviation New Terminal

This project includes a 12,700 SF general aviation executive terminal and a 34,100 SF hangar/office complex on an 11.42-acre site. The terminal features amenities such as a spacious lobby, conference rooms, a pilot lounge, VIP lounge, and a café. CSBD is providing LEED commissioning and construction administration services to ensure that the terminal meets modern sustainability standards.

OR Platform Renovation and Expansion

OR Platform Renovation and Expansion (Grady Health System)

Grady is conducting a comprehensive renovation and expansion of their Operating Room surgical services platform in Metro Atlanta. This includes the addition of six new OR suites, a pre-operation area, and upgrades to existing operating rooms and PACU beds. CSBD is working alongside the Beck Group and SSR to Provide the plumbing engineering and fire protection services, contributing to the modernization of the hospital’s surgical infrastructure.

Designing Healthcare Environments for Excellence

Siloam Health Medical Clinic

A new 3,500 SF clinic designed to serve Nashville’s growing immigrant and refugee populations. CSBD handled the planning, design, and permitting of the clinic space, which included modern LED lighting, security doors, and mechanical upgrades. This pro bono project was completed on time and on budget, demonstrating CSBD’s commitment to community development.

Human-Centered Healthcare Experiences

Family Eye Care of Marietta

A 6,000 SF medical office space designed for a growing eye care center. CSBD provided comprehensive MEP design services, ensuring the facility’s HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, and plumbing met regulatory standards while enhancing the patient experience.

Nissan Stadium Building

New Nissan Stadium

The new enclosed stadium in Nashville, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River, is designed to be a hub of excitement and community. With a seating capacity of approximately 60,000, it will host Tennessee Titans games, TSU football, and other major events like Super Bowls and Final Four tournaments, while offering 12,000 square feet of community space for classes, job training, and events. Inspired by Nashville’s spirit, this project is part of the city’s broader East Bank development plan, emphasizing sustainability, multi-functionality, and community engagement. Key Features of the Design: Breathtaking Exterior Terraces: Panoramic views of Nashville offer social spaces for fans and event attendees, while innovative shading helps control sunlight, maintaining a comfortable indoor atmosphere. Immersive 21-Foot Halo Display: This iconic feature connects video screens across the endzones, enhancing the viewing experience. Fan-Centric Seating: A closer seating design brings fans into the heart of the action, vastly improving sightlines. Sustainable Materials: Hi-tech, eco-friendly materials are woven throughout the stadium to minimize waste, optimize energy and water usage, and meet LEED Gold certification standards. CSBD is proud to contribute its expertise to this landmark project as part of the Architectural Associate team, providing critical consulting and design insights for the Facade, Waterproofing, and Window Wall-ensuring the stadium’s aesthetics and functionality stand the test of time. Community Solutions by Design is here to bring Nashville’s vision to life, balancing cutting-edge design with sustainable solutions. The stadium is set to open in 2027, with a projected budget of $2.1 billion USD, and will be an enduring symbol of Nashville’s forward-thinking approach to architecture, community, and sustainability.

Sports & Recreation Spaces

Rise Charter School Athletic Complex

The new athletic recreational facility is equipped with a new high school regulation size gymnasium, multipurpose classrooms, physical training area, and concessions area. In addition to these amenities, the facility contains an outdoor playground area. The Gymnasium has a full-size basketball court which can convert to 2 smaller courts which can be used simultaneous. The facility can host more than 400 spectators to view volleyball and basketball sporting events. Expected project construction completion is set for August 2022.

BNA Concourse A Reconstruction

BNA Concourse A Reconstruction

The new 10-gate concourse will be a landmark project as part of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority’s (MNAA) $1.4-billion New Horizon capital program. To accommodate ongoing growth in passenger volumes, MNAA is expanding Concourses A and D, constructing a new air freight facility, and implementing various airfield capacity upgrades. 
CSBD is supporting Fentress Architects by providing Tenant Enabling for Phases 1 & 2 of BNA Concourse A Reconstruction: Phase 1 Design – The enabling design schedule for phase 1 is 2023- 2025. CSBD is assisting with Construction Administration Services and Enabling for Phase 1. ​ Phase 2 Enabling – CSBD will coordinate Final Airline relocation(s) back to Concourse A and Infill vacated hold rooms at other concourses. We will complete relocations in 2028.

BNA Nashville International Airport

Concourse D Expansion

A major $250 million expansion of Concourse D at Nashville International Airport, part of the New Horizon Program. This 190,000 SF extension includes five new gates, new concession areas, art spaces, restrooms, and passenger hold rooms. High-end finishes ensure seamless integration with the existing concourse. CSBD, in partnership with Fentress Architects, is providing architectural and construction administration services to ensure the projects meets LEED v4 BD+C certification standards. The expansion is designed to improve passenger movement and capacity while keeping the airport fully operational.
